For the last 2 years I have enjoyed being a canvasser for the Heart and Stroke foundation by knocking on doors within my neighbourhood asking for contributions of which they are very generous.

When I spent 35 days( in 2013) in the Ottawa General Hospital recovering from a major operation I personally witnessed the outstanding care and dedication that I received.

From the surgical team to the fabulous nursing staff to supporting staff, I realized how lucky we all are to be in Ottawa and have this wonderful facility here. 

I have since become a monthly contributor to the Ottawa General Foundation. After every sale that I complete I gladly contribute a portion of my commission to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario ( C.H.E.O.). In the spring of 2019 you could see me manning the phones on the C.H.E.O. telethon.
